Yes, me again.

Wonder Woman Wannabe

I live in Southern California with my husband and teenage son and can often be seen driving my son home from school or off to baseball or soccer practice. Our family enjoys practicing sports, hiking, playing board games, and watching Dr. Who.

Where I Started This Journey

Everyone is on a hero's journey like Harry Potter or Indiana Jones or Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I would say my hero's journey really got started when I became a mother. Things began on rather shaky ground when the natural birth I had planned became a C-section in the hospital. My baby boy was fine and healthy (thank goodness) but the recovery was a bit rougher than I anticipated. And that's when the real havoc started.

My husband found a lump on his throat while he was shaving. Long story short-- within a week, my husband was told he had tonsil cancer and that he would need two surgeries and radiation treatment. My son had just turned three months old. Whoa! This was not what I had planned.

My world turned upside down. It was a very painful time and I had no tools to cope with it. And yet, I had to be the rock that held our family together. It was the most difficult time in my life.

As a result, I was MOTIVATED to get tools to help me feel more empowered, calmer, and more peaceful in the face of potential heartbreak, struggle, physical pain, and exhaustion.

What This Means For You

That means I've been doing research for YOU, yes YOU. For the past twelve years, I've been learning how to be this person with amazing intuition and a capacity for true joy. I've learned by walking through the fire myself and I don't want that to be a wasted journey. I want to share what I've learned with you.

I see that YOU are at the center of a ripple in a pond. If you are centered and balanced, then your loved ones will be too. The centered and balanced energy of your family then ripples out to your neighbors, schools, your place of employment, your community, and so on. It's a magical thing!

So Much Better Now

So, it's many years later and my husband is cancer-free. Yippee! Yahoo! My son is growing up healthy and happy. And I'm so much happier too as a result of all this life experience.

This journey got me in touch with my intuition, gratitude, living in the present, the use of meditation in daily life, and much, much more. I love to read books by authors like Wayne Dyer, Ernest Holmes, Mike Dooley (Notes from the Universe), Lynne McTaggart (The Field), Neale Donald Walsch (Conversations with God), and Jon Kabat-Zinn.

And if you are interested in degrees and such, I have my BA in Psychology from UCLA and my MA in Education (Educational Technology/Instructional Design) from San Diego State University. I also studied at the Western School of Feng Shui and am a graduate of the Lightstone Academy of Psychic Arts. I'm using what I've learned in school about how to design instruction and create training to teach people how to be mindful and start rocking their intuition.
