A nationwide GAP
Question for my guides: There is a wide chasm between people in the United States. It seems like we will never be able to come together and get things done to benefit all of us. The us versus them trend seems dangerous. What can we do? What do we need to know?
Spirit Guides: You see the great chasm as big and wide as the Grand Canyon between people under a blue flag and others under a red one. You wonder how they will ever get back to working together. The polarity of the United States has been written in the stars. This was bound to return. The United States is being given another go around on defining what it means to be an American and what the USA stands for.
Defining this is important not only for the nation but for the world as many other countries look to the US as an example of democracy. The founding fathers laid out the ideas but they have still not been met for all people. It is time now to reexamine these principles and how the separation of church and state was so important for them and why. It is time to re-examine all of the founding principles and rules for governing the people. It is time to shore up the laws of this nation to follow more closely the example that was set by them. It is time to shore up the laws of this nation to come up to date with the technology and the reality of the world we find ourselves in today.
It is a different world with different challenges and yet some of those same challenges are still here today. Treating every person with equality is still not a given here. The color of someone’s skin still weighs far too heavy in the meting out of the law. The sexual preference of a person is not something anyone should be worrying about. And a woman deserves to live as no child is alive until their first breath on this planet. A doctor must do what is best for the woman before the child every time before that child takes his or her first breath.
The founding fathers could not have known the gains in science and technology and the issues we are faced with today. It is up to us to be brave and smart and set laws according to our values of honesty, integrity, and doing the most good for the most people. It is our duty to see equal justice under the law. It is our duty to take care of each other. It is our duty to educate all who wish to learn and to make safe our world. It is our duty to care for this planet and all of its creatures. These are our sacred duties to our nation and to our world.
What can you do to help? Hold peace in your heart. Explain clearly with love whatever you wish to share with others. Do not shame others. Do not make fun of others. Espouse the ideals of caring for one another and treating each other how you would want to be treated. Espouse the ideas of fair share and idealizing those who do good works-- not those who are greedy and take advantage of others. Give praise to those with integrity and those with love in their heart. These are the role models for moving forward. Be this person everyday in every interaction. That is how you can help.
Hold a light in your heart that the US will find its way home again. This is a test. We will pass. Hold on.
